Even After Giving Tuesday

Consider giving the greater gift

Galatians 2:20 in the Amplified Bible reads, “I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself for me.” To which I ask you, dearest reader, “Now what do you have to give?”

God, the Father of us all, gave the Greatest. Of. All. Times. (Jesus) to be crucified on a cross. On that old, rugged cross, Jesus carried all our sins and sicknesses- two weights of this world too hard for any of us to bear.

Before you shout, “Amen,” I have to ask, “Do you really believe that He did?”

I know, I do. But sometimes my mind gets crowded, and my life gets busy and I need to remind myself of what and in whom I believe.

That is why I also believe that the greatest gift that we could give today, this Giving Tuesday, is our unapologetic reverence to God for all that He has given us.

The gift of surrender to the One who made you and I and who gave His life for a sinful and sick world is the greatest contribution we can make in this life.

Are you ready to give it up to gain it all?

Living by our fleshly desires in a “whatever comes up, comes out; whatever feels good, do it; whatever looks good, try it; whatever seems right, say it” kind of world, is foolishly flimsy. It is living without principle or standards, a life built to crumble at the slightest bit of tension or opposition. A flesh-led, me-first life is the pragmatic display of insecurity.

But to live a life in which our flesh follows the leading of the Holy Spirit of God, is a life with a firm foundation, rooted in wisdom, built to last, full of promise and hope, and bought with an unending love.

Which would you prefer?

Dumb question, I know.

So let today be a Transformative Tuesday as you and I commit to live this new life of faith in Jesus- the Savior of the world and the Lover of our souls.

C’mon. Give yourself away today and gain the greatest love.

Yours in the sweetest surrender,

Leah
